Jayme Rae Dailey is an expressive and energetic 22 year old young woman who is very passionate about dance and choreography as an art form and a way of life.
She began dancing ballet jazz at age 3 and has tried a variety of dance styles ever since. She has done 4 years of gymnastics and 5 years of Acrosport on the elite team (acrobatic gymnastics). In high-school, dancing started to become even more important to her as she was training and teaching competitively. Jayme Rae has also done 6 years of classical ballet, 3 years of house, 2 years of modern, 6 years of hip-hop, 9 years of contemporary and 6 months of rumba, jive, cha-cha-cha. She has completed one year at the University of Concordia studying contemporary dancing. The year 2009 was a big year for Jayme Rae; She auditioned with her twin sister Jenny and was chosen to be on the TOP 20 for So You Think You Can Dance Canada – Season 2 and finished TOP 3. On the show, she had the opportunity to work with many choreographers such as Mia Michaels, Stacey Tookie, Luther Brown, Blake McGrath, Jay Blaze and Sean Cheeseman to name a few. She also did an 18 city-tour across Canada with the TOP 10 of So You Think You Can Dance Canada – Season 2. Jayme Rae has been travelling in Canada ever since and has been teaching at workshops such as IDance Convention and 5678 Showtime. She has also been acting, singing and dancing in the “Big Bazaar” musical in Montreal and will be a part of their tour across Quebec until May 2011. She is a perfectionist and a hard worker who puts her heart into everything she does. She has big plans for the future; She is eager to explore the versatility of dancing and choreography in Los Angeles California where she has recently moved and plans to develop a signing and acting career as well.
