Blueprint Dance Inc. is a multiple award winning non-profit dance company whose purpose is to entertain and inspire others through the art of dance on an international level. Not even a year after the group was formed, Blueprint appeared in numerous music videos, danced back-up for local artists, and opened for international singers such as Ciara, 112 and Bobby Valentino. On top of this great success, the group has managed to make a name for themselves worldwide. Choreographer, director and founder, Steve Bolton, and Blueprint were invited to teach workshops and/or perform in Seattle, Orlando, Los Angeles, France, Norway, Poland and Ireland and more. Three members of the group were in the top 20 of So You Think You Can Dance Canada.
Moreover, Blueprint has gone on to win the prestigious Sounds of Blackness Award (SOBA) two years in a row, as well as taking home the award for the top dance performance at the world’s largest Hip Hop convention, Monsters of Hip Hop.
A turning point for Blueprint came when they were selected as the first foreign group to participate in the 5 th season of Randy Jackson presents America’s Best Dance Crew. As the underdogs in the competition, the group managed to gain a large fan base in the US and across the world and placed 2 nd in the competition. Blueprint has made their country proud and has opened doors for dancers all over the world. Blueprint’s upcoming plans include a world tour, a clothing line and collaborating with their main sponsor, Reebok. Recognized as the top professional hip hop dance group in Canada, a constant evolution in the group will lead to an evolution in the caliber of dance in the country and worldwide. With Blueprint’s dedication to continuous growth both as a company and as individuals, one can only imagine where their endless potential will take them next.
